S6 Rotary Business Team Presentations

Teams of 4/5 pupils are given a
topic to research and must deliver a 10 minute presentation
by the end of the event. |
| Work Shadowing |

In S6 pupils have the opportunity to organise
their own placement at a workplace of their own choice. Unlike
work experience, the emphasis in this programme is on observation
rather participation. This gives pupils a wider experience. |

Shadowing Competitions |
August-October |
Each year both the Ayrshire and Renfrewshire
branches of the Chartered Management Institute invite our pupils
to compete in a work shadowing competition. The pupils are interviewed
and successful candidates shadow a manager for three days. |

A large group of our S6 pupils are currently
working on ideas for a product to sell during this session.
They work closely with their Business Partners at 'Well Connected',
and the group meet weekly with Mrs Bryden who leads the programme. |
| Entrepreneurship
Masterclass |
June |
Entrepreneurship Masterclass is
a one day challenge to students to consider running their own
business. They will meet with real entrepreneurs who will describe
their vision, experiences and achievements. They will discuss
students' ideas, give advice and answer questions. They will
direct them to organisations who can assist and advise on real
business start up. The day concludes with an exciting team building
activity |
